Our 2008 Sustainability Report has been written in accordance with the 2006 Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), 2006 Sustainability Reporting Guidelines and the GRI Mining and Metals Sector Supplement Pilot Version 1.0. The Report has been assessed by GRI as meeting the requirements for the A+ GRI Application Level. We believe it represents a balanced and reasonable presentation of our organisation’s economic, environmental and social performance.

The symbol in the fourth column of this Index provides an indication of the level of coverage of each GRI indicator in the Report.

In compiling this Index we have taken into consideration a number of issues associated with the compilation and production of our 2008 Sustainability Report. Issues considered include the complexity of the Company and the materiality of the indicators in relation to its operations, and the general intent and purpose of the Global Reporting Initiative.
