Stainless Steel Materials primarily services the stainless steel industries through our wide range of high-quality nickel products.
In addition, we supply nickel and cobalt to other markets including the specialty alloy, foundry, chemicals, and refractory material industries and the intermediate nickel market.
Our Products
BHP Billiton Stainless Steel Materials produces:
- Nickel in the form of compacts both regular and high-grade, high purity nickel briquettes and powders, ferronickel granules and chemical-grade nickel oxide;
- Nickel intermediates in the form of matte, concentrate and nickel oxide; and
- Cobalt in the form of chemical grade cobalt oxide hydroxide and electrolytic cobalt cathodes.
