Fatal Accident At BHP Billiton Iron Ore

BHP Billiton Iron Ore regrets to advise that an incident occurred at approximately 11.00am today at its Nelson Point operations in Port Hedland, which has resulted in the death of an employee.
The name and details of the employee will not be released until next of kin have been notified.
The onsite emergency team responded immediately and external emergency services including police and ambulance have been notified.
Port and Rail operations have been suspended until further notice.
